Gefen Unveils DVI KVM Matrix Switching System

A new 4x4 DVI KVM Matrix switching system from Gefen (Booth 708) offers a simple method of connecting four digital video sources to four digital displays with access controlled by USB 2.0 keyboard/mouse. The ability to integrate multiple sources and displays without complex networking or hardware makes them ideally suited for pro a/v applications.

The Gefen 4x4 DVI KVM Matrix is designed for digital computer systems using high definition DVI displays. It connects four computers to four displays and supplies a USB keyboard/mouse connector for each display. This allows the user to create four unique workstations with complete KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) access to any of the computers at any time.

Access to all four computers is controlled by IR remote with the switch between computers taking place instantly. Offering an ease of connectivity between computers located in a central closet or room with distributed KVM functionality to four separate locations, the Gefen 4x4 DVI KVM Matrix is ideal for editing suites and the distribution of high definition video applications.

The rack mountable 4x4 DVI KVM Matrix comes equipped with four USB, DVI and stereo audio inputs/outputs. The unit comes with its own IR remote, with support for a wired remote and RS-232 connection. One 5v power supply drives the system.
