Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. is featuring the U.S. introduction of the ACD1 amplifier control device at Booth 318. This new device enables complete remote control and monitoring of power amplifiers and provides a convenient, reliable means to connect a computer running Yamaha's advanced NetworkAmp Manager II amplifier control and monitoring software to Yamaha Tn, PC1N, XP, XM and XH series amplifiers.
Up to 32 daisy-chained Tn and/or PC1N series amplifiers can be connected to the ACD1 DATA PORT connector via standard Ethernet cables, while as many as 8 XP, XM, and/or XH series amplifiers can be connected to individual MONITOR/REMOTE connectors via appropriate D-sub cables. The new Yamaha TXn power amplifier connects directly to NetworkAmp Manager II via Ethernet without the need for the ACD1 so the user can simultaneously connect TXn amps with other Yamaha amplifiers via an ACD1 unit to a single computer by using a standard high-speed Ethernet hub.
The NetworkAmp Manager II software enables users to monitor, manage and control the available functions of Yamaha amplifiers connected to a network via the ACD1. The software is Windows-based and once set up its efficient, intuitive graphical interface can be used to remotely monitor and control each device on the network.
"The Yamaha ACD1 and NetworkAmp Manager II software take remote control and monitoring to another level," states Albert Cardenas, acoustic systems manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. "The new device and software provide yet another means to offer our customers complete systems solutions."
The Yamaha ACD1 will be available during the second quarter of 2008.
