Live Nation Studios, part of the world's largest live music company, is purchasing a 16 channel Tonelux (Booth 847) surround capable summing/mixing system in a single V-Rack for their Hollywood Studio facility, Live Nation Studios. The system was custom designed by Andrew Scarth, (Ray Davies, Elliott Randall, Foreigner), Live Nation Studios' chief engineer, for both stereo and surround mixing of the live shows that they are currently producing from the large array of clubs and venues that Live Nation either owns or operates. Scarth notes: "I became familiar with Tonelux while developing a live music recording system that Paul Wolff was doing design work on. I began recommending it for the post production facilities that we are using for mixing the live shows, and was very impressed with not only the package but the incredible tone and depth that it added to the mixes, so I made sure we had one at our main facility in Hollywood along with the other facilities using Tonelux." The system is made up of a Tonelux V-Rack loaded with 16) TR8 bus assign modules, allowing surround mixing, stereo mixing or both.
