With the first production units now coming off the line, Equator Audio Research (Demo Room 2D13) is introducing Dale Pro Audio in New York City and EAR Professional Audio/Video in Phoenix, AZ, as the first two dealers in the U.S. to carry the company's new Q Series monitors.

"The names Dale and EAR have been synonymous with great products and great service for many, many years," explains Equator Audio Research president Ted Keffalo. "Given their success over the years, I have the utmost confidence that they'll do a first-rate job explaining to their customers exactly what makes our Q series monitors so special."

Keffalo also announced that several key sales firms have been engaged. They include MF Music Marketing for New York and the Mid-Atlantic states, AudioBiz for the Midwest, Digital Revolutions for the Rocky Mountain states, and Sonic Sales for the West coast.

Equator Q Series monitors blend traditional coaxial design with an on-board CPU and Digitally-Controlled Transducers. The monitors, which come in 10-, 12- and 15-inch models, feature the ability to digitally compensate for a variety of sonic anomalies in the listening environment, including room nodes (height/width/depth), speaker placement/boundary asymmetry, and secondary reflections.

The monitors are on display in Demo Room 2D13, with daily demonstrations by Grammy( award-winning multi-platinum producer/engineer Francis Buckley.
